The short version: the tools open and convert your embroidery files on your own device. Your files are never uploaded, stored or seen by us. We only get your email address if you give it to us for free fonts, and we only use ad measurement if you say yes.
Who we are
This site is run by [your name or business name], [country]. You can reach us using the details on the Contact page. For privacy laws such as the GDPR, we are the “controller” of the personal data described here.
Your embroidery files
The viewer and converter run inside your web browser. When you open a design, it is read and processed on your device. It is never sent to us or to anyone else, and we can’t see it. Converted files are created on your device too, and go straight to your downloads.
The engine that reads embroidery files is downloaded from this website the first time you use a tool and then kept in your browser’s cache. That download contains no information about you.
Signing up for free fonts
If you sign up for the 5 free fonts, we collect:
- your email address
- your machine brand, if you choose one
- where on the site you signed up, the page language and which free download you asked for
- that you agreed to receive emails, and when
We use this to send you the fonts, then tutorials, new designs and occasional offers. Our legal basis is your consent. You can unsubscribe with the link in every email, and we then stop emailing you.
Signups are stored with our email provider, MailerLite, which sends the emails for us. We don’t sell or share your email address with anyone else. We keep it until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Contact form
If you send us a message through the Contact page, we store your name (if you give it), your email address, the topic you chose, your message and the language of the page. We use them only to answer you. We don’t store your IP address and the form doesn’t track you.
Messages are kept in our own database, hosted by Cloudflare. Once we’ve answered, the message is deleted automatically after 12 months; messages marked as spam are deleted after 30 days. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering your question. You can ask us to delete your message sooner.
To keep out spam, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile. It looks at technical signals from your browser to tell people from bots; Cloudflare uses this only for that check, under its privacy policy. Its script loads only on the Contact page.
Ad measurement (Meta pixel)
We’d like to know whether our ads on Facebook and Instagram bring people to the site. For that we use the Meta pixel, but only if you choose “Allow ad measurement” in the banner. If you choose “No, thanks”, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, the Meta pixel is never loaded.
If you allow it, Meta’s script sets cookies (such as _fbp) and sends Meta information about your
visit: the pages you view, your browser and device, your IP address and these events: viewing a
product, clicking “Buy” and signing up for free fonts. It never includes your embroidery files or
your email address. Meta uses this under its own privacy policy.
Under EU law we and Meta are jointly responsible for collecting and passing on this data.
You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
Things saved in your browser
The site saves a few settings in your browser’s local storage so you don’t have to choose them again: light or dark theme, your hoop size and machine speed in the viewer, the formats and SVG settings you picked in the converter, your rates and currency in the price calculator, the thread ranges you show in the thread color converter, and your ad measurement choice. They stay on your device and are never sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes them.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and basic request information to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. We don’t use any other analytics. Fonts are served from this site, not from Google or other font services.
Buying fonts and designs
When you click “Buy”, checkout happens on Gumroad, which takes the payment, handles sales tax and delivers your files. Payment and order details are handled there, under Gumroad’s privacy policy. If checkout opens in a window on top of our page, that window and the script that opens it come from Gumroad. We receive what the store shares with sellers so we can deliver your order and help you with it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or receive a copy. You can withdraw consent at any time (unsubscribe, or Cookie settings for ad measurement). Withdrawing doesn’t affect what happened before. To use these rights, contact us via the Contact page. If you’re in the EU or UK and unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your data protection authority.
Children
The site isn’t aimed at children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes
If we change how we handle data, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
